The ostrich is the largest and heaviest bird in the world, known for its impressive size and speed. These flightless birds have long, powerful legs that enable them to run at speeds up to 45 miles per hour, making them the fastest runners among birds.

 

They have strong, clawed feet that are used for defence against predators. Ostriches are also known for their unique social behaviour, often seen in groups that provide protection and enhance their foraging efficiency.
